Production of First Gas-Engine Machines in Russia
For the First Time in Russia. The leading manufacturer of agricultural machines develops gas-engine machines in partnership with RariTEK Holding. The corresponding agreement was signed today by Alexei Shveitsov, First Deputy General Director - Director of Rostselmash Sales, Marketing and Service Center, and Rafael Batyrshin, General Director of RariTEK Holding JSC.

The Parties agreed to develop a liquefied natural gas-driven version of the agricultural tractor. It is planned that the first converted agricultural machine will be able to start field testing this year already.

The parties emphasize that one of the main objectives of the project is to maintain the tractor traction force. Today, diesel engine machines with 380-405 hp nominal power are rolling off the enterprise production line. This power ensures the machines reliable operation during energy-intensive operations with implements such as offset disc harrows (up to 6 m), and tandem disc harrows (up to 11 m), seeding complexes (up to 13 m), plows (9-11 bottom) , cultivators (up to 15 m).

Thus, the project of Rostselmash and RariTEK Holding promises to develop into a unique event for the Russian agro-industrial complex - field operation of a tractor equipped with an LNG engine, moreover, a tractor of high Drawbar Category 6.

According to experts, gradual transition of agricultural machinery to gas motor fuel is a part of Russian environmental agenda; and this project not only in the mainstream of modern development of the agro-industrial complex, it can become a pioneer in the segment of high-performance tractors.

“Such equipment will be of interest, first of all, to agricultural holdings, large agricultural companies with large plots, which intend to start generating the necessary infrastructure for LNG refuelling of self-propelled machines. The market demand for tractors with a gas-powered engines is just being developed. In any case, we consider it necessary for ourselves to go one step ahead and have a ready-made offer in the product portfolio,” says Aleksey Shveitsov, First Deputy General Director of Rostselmash.

“For our part, I would like to note that our company has extensive experience in filling infrastructure development. In particular, we design and manufacture mobile gas filling stations and are engaged in construction of turnkey gas filling stations, we also provide maintenance services,” said General Director of RariTEK Holding JSC, Rafael Batyrshin.
