All the Russia-made machines have been delivered to the African continent and are now being cleared at the customs. These include 15 ACROS 595 PLUS’s and one TORUM 785. The combines have come equipped with 7 & 9m Power Stream grain heads depending on a machine model, and ARGUS corn heads.

After they are serviced as required, the agricultural machines will be ready to start cutting grain crops, this is expected to happen in the middle of April. The combines will be used in the desert land reclamation program, which is of strategic importance to Egypt; the machines are going to operate in the area of the Toshka Lakes.

The supply of 15 ACROS’s was the result of a government tender held by the Egypt’s Ministry of Agriculture in December 2021. The payment was made in February. The organizers found the bid from the maker’s official dealer to be the most advantageous and machine specifications fully consistent with the requirements stated.

The agricultural authority also considered the positive past experience in operating the Russian maker’s equipment. Business ties between the North-African state and Rostselmash were established in 2020 when Series R cultivators were supplied. In 2021, after the award of a government tender, the country received the first ACROS 585s. The grain harvesters have demonstrated excellent performance in tough field and climate conditions. The quality of equipment and dependability of all its systems have stood the test of operation on sandy soils.

It is equally important for the Egypt’s agricultural sector that the supply of equipment is supported with proper after-sale services as well. The dealer has a good service infrastructure, repair facilities, skilled personnel. Rostselmash has been supporting its partners as well. In 2021, the maker’s service engineers and instructors from the academy were in Egypt where they educated the dealer’s personnel, helped to commission agricultural machines, consulted operators on best settings for combines, and supervised equipment during its operation. “The same is being done today. A team of Russian experts is already there,” said Rostselmash Sales Department Director Maxim Maximov.Dealer’s employees are studying Rostselmash equipment
