Thanks to the use of independently suspended support rollers in the tracked truck and the uniform weight distribution, VECTOR 450 Track moves smoothly in the field, the header remains practically stationary and only follows the field terrain. This is an important condition of complete harvesting, especially of the low-hanging soy beans. And, of course, the operator will appreciate the comfortable driving. Steel cord rubber tracks ensure minimal wear in dry work conditions and the possibility of driving comfortably on paved roads.

Because of the tracks, the ground pressure is only 0.5 kg/sq.cm — almost 5 times less than in wheeled configuration, providing excellent off-road performance.

The straw leaving the threshing cylinder with some grains in it is directed by the rear beater to the straw walker. A 4-step straw walker with 7 stages does an easy job of separating the remaining grains.

The rotor rethreshing technology provides a gentle threshing of the remaining ears by reducing the number of impacts and friction, which is particularly important when grass is cut for seed. In tilled crop applications (corn, sunflower), the rethreshing speed is lowered by a dedicated sprocket, and a special concave is available for grain legumes.

VECTOR features a hydrostatic transmission allowing for continuous adjustment of the ground speed in the range of 0–16 km/h. A wide range of speeds allows optimising the load of thresher-separator unit when working in low-yield fields.

The blockage, if any, can be quickly removed thanks to Jam Control — a deep concave drop device that drops the concave by 80 mm when the pedal is pushed. Unlike the combines with a cylinder reverse system, this operation can be done in seconds.

VECTOR 450 combines are equipped with 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel V-type 255 hp YaMZ engines.
This simple, low-maintenance (in terms of fuel) engine has a significant power and torque reserve at peak loads, and a good fuel efficiency.
The engine is additionally equipped with an air compressor and a cold weather starter. The cooling system radiator has an increased size and a rotating inertial cut-off to reduce the time for cleaning the radiator from crop residues.

The threshed tailings are cleaned by a double-sieve cleaning system. A large drop height and a finger rake on the precleaner significantly improve the cleaning performance. The total area of sieves is 3.59 sq m., which is one of the best indicators for this class of combines. The cleaning system uses a 6-vane fan; the fan speed is easily controlled from the cab and displayed on the control panel. Tall dividers can be optionally fitted to the chaffer to minimise losses when the harvesting is done on hillsides.
Practice shows that losses are decreased by more than 1%, and the greater the angle to horizon, the greater the effect.

The air compressor saves a lot of time for daily service, especially in the field, when the support vehicle is not available. The compressor is included in the basic package — this is how Rostselmash introduces new industry standards.

The traditional single-cylinder threshing and separating system used in VECTOR causes little to no damage to straw, unlike the designs with a separator. Depending on the application, straw can be chopped and spread or windrowed. VECTOR leaves a loose fluffy windrow behind, which can then be picked easily.
