Rostselmash withdrew from its asset of the American tractor producer Buhler Industries Inc located in Canada.The new owner Başak Traktör, a Turkish manufacturer of tractors and other machines, acquired the asset based on the arm's length principle. The Turkish company obtains about 96.7% of the Canadian business outstanding shares.
Rostselmash will invest all funds received from the transaction to further development of its production facilities and technological self-sufficiency, design and manufacturing of new products.
Currently Rostselmash successfully implements an extensive investment program, with some projects being at the final stage: construction of the new tractor plant; construction and commissioning of the plant for manufacturing automatic and mechanical transmission systems, axles and gear cases for tractors, combines and road-building machines; creation of the affiliate of Rostselmash’s Trailed & Mounted Implements Division in Taganrog; construction of an integrated proving ground for agricultural and road-building machines.
