This time the prestigious Innovation Award Agritechnica went to Rostselmash for the advanced system “Attention Assistant” RSM Ok ID. Note that before Russia received an award only once ever since the show started in 1887. And in 2019 the silver medal for the RSM Night Vision system for self-propelled agricultural machines was awarded to Rostselmash, too.
Agritechnica 2022 international show will be taking place in Hannover from February 27 through March 5. However, it has been common practice at the show to identify the most promising innovations and name industry award winners. This year 164 applications were submitted for awards. On December 7, 2021, the expert panel decision became known: Rostselmash gets the silver medal!
“Attention Assistant” RSM Ok ID is an unparalleled operator fatigue and drowsiness detection system for agricultural machines. Similar but simpler systems are used in the automotive industry, they haven’t been used on agricultural machines before.
Rostselmash did not just “borrow the principle”: the system built on machine vision, artificial intelligence and neural networks was developed and adapted specifically for the agricultural industry. “Attention Assistant” continuously monitors and analyses multiple driver’s physical condition parameters, and if any deviations from human’s “basic characteristics” are detected, it will sound the buzzer and generate an alert and send it to Agrotronic, a Rostselmash’s innovative agrimanagement and fleet operations supervision platform, and will stop the machine.
There’s no denying that operator’s work is hard - with long shifts, monotony, lack of motion. The risk of falling asleep while driving is extremely high due to excessive fatigue. But passing out even for a few seconds may be disastrous. RSM Ok ID considerably enhances safety during long working hours and can prevent adverse effects of fatigue.
The second Agritechnica Innovation Award in a row attests to the Rostselmash’s ultimate competence in intelligent technology. Congrats to the designers team and entire company.
