On August 28, 2026, Rostselmash officially confirmed its leadership in forage harvesting. A new record in the category of "Largest tonnage of silage mass harvested in 8 hours by a single combine in Russia" has been entered into the Book of Records of Russia!
The event took place in the fields of the Oryol region. The RSM F 2750 forage harvester, paired with the 7.5-meter MH 750 header, delivered an outstanding performance, collecting 2,606.4 tons of green corn silage in a single eight-hour shift. This result was achieved on the farmland of "A.S. Georgievsky Breeding Farm", where yields range from 730 to 790 centners per hectare.
Alexander Aldabaev, the farm’s director, provided his comments on the cooperation and newly set record: "No harvester has so far been able to produce 2,606 tonnes in 8 hours – this is a very high performance that will enable farmers to meet tight feed harvest schedules. Together with Rostselmash and its excellent team, we have set this record. The company has been our main partner for decades, and we enjoy friendly relations and mutual understanding."
The harvesting took place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM under the strict supervision of independent experts from the Book of Records of Russia, media representatives, and invited guests.
Alexander Lomakin, Head of the Forage Harvester Product Group at Rostselmash, noted: "The machine has proved its status as the country’s most powerful harvester. It was designed for high yields and large fields, and today it performed exactly as intended. The corn was tall, the yield was high, and the field was free of weeds — evidence of good agricultural practices. The harvester moved through the crop without any difficulties, and we achieved results that exceeded our expectations. An experienced operator, non-stop operation, and efficient farm logistics — all performed at the highest level. Such performance is achievable when the machine is used with proper organisation."
The machine worked on fields with an average length of 850 meters. The chopped material was transported by vehicles with an average load of 12,967 kg per trip; a total of 201 trips were made. Fuel consumption was recorded at 0.38 litres per tonne of harvested crop.
It is worth noting that in 2026, the record-breaking model was launched into mass production. The RSM F 2750, Russia’s most powerful harvester with a 770 HP engine, guarantees high-quality chopping of large volumes of forage in the shortest possible time — a critical factor for livestock farms. During peak record-setting operation, the combine demonstrated an average productivity of 325.8 tons per hour over the work shift. A total of 2,606.4 tons were chopped in a single 8-hour shift. This volume is sufficient to provide full nutrition for 350 head of cattle for an entire year, ultimately enabling the production of 3,675,000 liters of milk.
Alexey Abramov, Lead Test Engineer, confirmed reliability and ergonomics: "I was confident that the combine would work without any issues – and it did. Throughout the 8 hours, the machine performed steadily; no faults were recorded. The key factors were power and throughput, high crop yield, and a well‑chosen field. I finished the shift without fatigue and could easily work another shift."
