RSM F 1300 is a new forage harvester featuring an advanced forage harvesting technologies and a laconic simplicity of design. The new cutterhead provides a high (up to 85%) evenness of cutting lengths, improving the forage intake by animals. With the shortest path in its class, the combine’s energy efficiency has been greatly improved.

An increased feed rolls diameter provides for a higher throughput of the combine, ensuring an even crop flow entering the chopper.
Four springs with a compacting force of 3500 kg ensure a dense flow of the material and an even cut.
The hydraulic roll damper absorbs impact loads, improves the performance of stone detector, prevents damage to the rolls and feederhouse frame, and provides additional pressing of crop material.

Thanks to a new cutting drum with four rows of knives arranged in a chevron pattern, crop material alignment and clean cut are ensured. Such design prevents any displacement of the knives, protecting the rotor from damage, and reduces the knife replacement costs.
Automatic adjustment of the drum floor prevents the crop material from recycling and allows obtaining the length of cut uniformity >85%. New sharpening device increases the knife sharpening speed twice — the highest cutting quality with no time lost.

Two rolls 190 mm in diameter with saw-like teeth and a 20% difference in rotational speed ensure 99.9% grain cracking. For a more aggressive cracking, kits increasing difference between roll speeds to 30% or 40% are available for order.

Versatility
- with knives arranged in four rows, half of the knives can be removed to double the range of cutting lengths;
- special knives for corn (optional) increase the evenness of cut lengths for a better forage compaction in the pit, ensuring its integrity. Reduced amount of fine particles also increases the forage intake by animals.

- small grain silage — a header is available for small grain silage harvesting — with a segmented knives cutterbar. Kernel processor with 190 mm rolls cracks the grain perfectly, improving forage digestibility;
- grass — a pickup or a direct-cut header and grass knives (basic package) as well as a hydraulic damper of feed rolls and an automatic cutterhead floor adjustment guarantee easy grass harvesting on fields of any yield;
- corn — 4.5 m corn header (6 rows). Corn knives (optional) increase the evenness of length of cut, improving the forage integrity and its intake by animals. A roller-type kernel processor ensures 99.9% cracking of corn grains, improving forage digestibility.
Comfort operation
The operator’s ergonomic station provides the operator with a high level of comfort. An adjustable seat and a steering column ensure the best posture. The controls are easily accessible on the panel and on the joystick to the right of the seat.

Simple design
The feed rolls drive gear case is belt-driven from the chopping rotor's shaft. This simple solution allows synchronising the speed between the rolls and the rotor, and maintaining a constant cutting length under any load.

Passive vertical terrain following by means of hydraulic accumulators allows to compensate for ground irregularities of up to 250 mm. A spring-loaded tilt frame on the feeder house allows horizontal following on fields with uneven terrain. Interconnected operation of the two terrain following systems guarantees complete windrowing without skips and losses.
